Ways To Help Catmandu
Catmandu takes a different approach to helping homeless and at-risk cats. Both the sanctuary and rescue/adoption center are cage-free and geared toward satisfying the cats' mental, physical and emotional needs. We provide an amazing sanctuary for those who are less adoptable, rescue and re-homing for social/friendly cats, a senior foster program for older cats, as well as education and information to cat owners everywhere.
To better serve the cats, potential adopters, visitors, volunteers, staff and the community, Catmandu is expanding the days/hours available for adoptions, tours, consultations and donations. Appointments for tours and adoptions are available Tuesday thru Sunday. Appointments are not required to drop off donations. Donations are gratefully accepted Tuesday thru Sunday from 11 am - 4pm
So sorry you need to find a new home for your feline friend. Unfortunately, there are usually a lot more cats looking for homes than there are potential adopters looking for cats.
Catmandu is almost always at maximum capacity and can only take in a new cat when someone is adopted.
If you would like us to consider your cat when we have an opening, please complete the Surrender Inquiry. Be sure to hit the submit button at the end.
To increase the possibility of finding your cat a new home, we suggest you post on the numerous pet re-homing groups on Facebook. We are glad to share on our Facebook page as well. If you need help creating a post, please let us know. Be sure to thoroughly screen potential adopters to make sure they will provide a good home.
Please do not privately rehome cats or kittens that are not spayed or neutered. Get them fixed before you send them out in the world. There are already too many homeless cats and kittens in our area and not enough homes for them.
